Press-on nails are a gentle way to wear long, bold nails, but they still sit on your body and use a strong adhesive. Please read this page before your first set. It is general guidance, not medical advice.
Always patch test first
Before using nail glue or adhesive tabs for the first time, put a tiny amount on the inside of your wrist or on one nail and wait 24 hours. If you notice redness, itching, swelling or burning, don't use the product. If you have ever reacted to acrylic nails, gel polish or other adhesives, talk to a doctor or dermatologist first.
Using nail glue safely
Our nail glue contains cyanoacrylate, the same fast-acting adhesive family used in instant glues. It bonds skin in seconds.
- Keep it away from your eyes, mouth and skin around the nail. Use a thin layer on the nail only.
- Use it in a well-ventilated room and avoid breathing in the fumes.
- If glue gets on your skin, don't pull it apart. Soak in warm soapy water and gently roll or peel it free. Acetone-based remover helps.
- If glue gets in your eye, don't force the eyelids open. Rinse gently with plenty of lukewarm water and get medical help straight away.
- If swallowed, don't induce vomiting. Seek medical help.
- Close the cap tightly after use. Keep glue, tabs and nails out of reach of children and pets, as they are small and a choking risk.
When not to wear press-on nails
- On nails that are broken, damaged, very thin, bleeding or infected.
- If you have a fungal nail infection, or redness, swelling or pain around the nail.
- On skin with eczema, psoriasis or cuts around the nail area.
Pregnancy and medical conditions: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes, poor circulation, a skin condition or a weakened immune system, or are having treatment such as chemotherapy, check with your doctor before use if you're unsure. If you have surgery or a medical test coming up, remove your nails beforehand, as some equipment reads from the fingertip.
Stop wearing the nails and remove them gently if you notice itching, pain, lifting with trapped water, a change in nail colour, or any sign of infection. See a doctor if it doesn't settle.
Remove gently, never rip
Pulling or prising nails off takes layers of your natural nail with them, and this causes most nail damage. Instead:
- Soak your fingertips in warm soapy water with a few drops of cuticle oil for 10–15 minutes.
- Gently lift the nail from the side with a wooden cuticle stick. If it resists, soak for longer.
- Buff away any leftover glue and moisturise.
Full steps are in our how to apply & remove guide.
Living with long, sharp nails
Extra-long and pointed shapes are beautiful, and they need a little awareness:
- Take extra care near your eyes, when putting in or taking out contact lenses, and when handling babies and young children or pets.
- Use your fingertips, not your nail tips, to open cans, press buttons or type.
- Keep edges filed smooth to avoid scratches and snags.
- Intimate moments: keep edges smooth and consider a shorter or rounded shape.
Previews and results
Our 3D viewer and camera or photo try-on are approximations. Real colours, sizes, shine and fit can differ, and colours vary between screens. Every set is hand-painted, so small variations are normal. How long your nails last depends on your nail prep, nail type, daily activities and whether you use glue or tabs, so your results may differ from others'.
