Frequently asked questions

Press-on nails are ready-shaped nails that you stick over your natural nails with nail glue or adhesive tabs. Ours are hand-painted in India, come in long and extra-long lengths, and go on in about ten minutes at home. There's no salon visit, no drilling and no UV lamp.

Yes. If you remove them gently and clean off the old glue or tab, most sets can be worn several times. Tabs make reuse easiest. Store them in their case so they keep their shape.

With nail glue, a set usually lasts 1–2 weeks, and sometimes up to 3 weeks with good prep. With adhesive tabs, expect 1–3 days, which is perfect for a wedding, a party or a weekend. How long they last depends on your prep, your nails and how much you use your hands.

Not when applied and removed properly. Unlike acrylics or gels, press-ons need no drilling, heavy filing or UV curing. Almost all damage comes from ripping nails off, so always soak them off gently. A day or two of rest between sets keeps your nails happy.

They're water-resistant. Showers, handwashing and everyday life are fine, especially with glue. Long soaks, hot water and swimming can loosen them faster, so wear gloves for washing dishes and dry your hands well. Tabs are less water-resistant than glue.

Yes. Most people adjust within a day or two. Use the pads of your fingers rather than the tips for typing and tapping screens. For cooking, wear gloves when kneading atta or handling haldi, which can stain lighter shades. If you work with your hands a lot, start with a medium length.

More than you'd think. Long nails change how you pick things up for the first few days, and then it becomes second nature. If you're new to length, start with an M or L set, then move to XL and XXL once you're comfortable. Almond and oval shapes are the easiest long shapes to live with.

Measure the widest part of each nail bed in millimetres, for all ten fingers, and match them to our size guide. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one and file the sides down for a snug fit. A nail that's too narrow will press on the skin and pop off.

Our sizing kit lets you try plain sample nails on each finger to find your exact size without a measuring tape. It's the most reliable way to get a perfect fit, especially before ordering a custom set.

Yes. When you order a custom set, you enter the width of each nail in millimetres, so every finger gets its own size. Measure both hands, because they are often slightly different.

Small fit issues can usually be fixed by filing the sides or tip. Unused ready-made sets in sealed packaging can be returned within 7 days. For custom sets, if the sizes we made don't match the sizes you gave us, we remake them free. See returns & refunds.

Choose your shape, length and design on our custom page, then add your nail sizes and any design notes or reference photos. We check the details, contact you if anything needs confirming, and then hand-paint your set to your sizes.

We make custom sets in 5–7 business days after we confirm your sizes. Delivery then usually takes 3–6 days. If you need nails for a wedding or event, order at least two to three weeks ahead to be safe.

Yes, upload it with your order. We use it as inspiration and hand-paint our own version, so the result is close in spirit rather than an exact copy. We may decline designs that copy logos, characters or other people's artwork.

It depends on the length, shape and how detailed the art is. The custom page shows the price as you choose your options. For very detailed designs based on your own references, we may send you a quote and a payment link first.

Yes, on orders up to ₹5,000 at serviceable pincodes, with a COD fee of ₹49. COD may not be available for some products, such as custom sets. Enter your pincode at checkout to check.

UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and others), credit and debit cards, net banking and wallets, all processed securely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card or bank details.

Ready-made sets and accessories are dispatched within 2 business days, and delivery usually takes 3–6 days after that. Shipping is free on orders over ₹999; below that, it's ₹99. See our shipping policy.

We send the tracking link by email, and on WhatsApp if you've opted in, as soon as your parcel ships. You can also track it at https://tabbyclaws.in/track with your order number, or from your account.

Yes. Every order comes with a GST invoice, and all our prices include GST. If you need a copy, or want your business GSTIN on the invoice, write to hello@tabbyclaws.in before your order is dispatched.

Unused ready-made sets in original sealed packaging can be returned within 7 days of delivery. For hygiene reasons, opened or applied nails, glue, tabs and opened kits can't be returned. Custom sets can't be returned unless they're defective, wrong or damaged, and we remake them free if they don't match your sizes. Full details are on our returns & refunds page.

Refuse it if the outer package looks tampered with. Otherwise, record an unboxing video and tell us within 48 hours of delivery, with photos, at hello@tabbyclaws.in. We'll replace, remake or refund it.

Every set can be viewed as a 3D model in your browser. Spin it, zoom in and switch shapes and lengths to see how the design catches the light. It's a close preview, but real colours and shine can vary slightly.

Open the try-on studio, allow camera access and hold up your hand. Your browser finds your nails and places the design on them in real time. You can also try a set on a photo of your hand, and use Save look to keep a picture on your phone.

No. The camera and photo try-on run entirely on your device, in your browser. No video, frames or hand photos are sent to us or stored by us. Saved looks stay on your device unless you share them.

Yes, and more every year. Musicians, artists, performers and anyone who enjoys self-expression wear them. Our ready-made sets go up to size L, and custom sets are made to any nail width, including broader nail beds.

Square, squoval and short almond shapes look balanced on shorter or wider nail beds. Almond and oval shapes make fingers look longer. If you want something subtle, start with a short or medium length in a matte or dark shade. If your nails are wider than our size L in the size guide, choose a custom set.

Absolutely. An accent nail on one or two fingers is a great way to start. You can use a few nails from a set and save the rest for later.

Yes, before your first use of glue or tabs. Put a small amount on your inner wrist or one nail and wait 24 hours. Don't use the product if you notice redness, itching or swelling. Never apply nails over damaged, infected or fungal nails. See our product safety page.

Soak your fingertips in warm soapy water with a little cuticle oil for 10–15 minutes, then gently lift each nail from the side with a cuticle stick. Never rip or prise them off. Our how to apply & remove guide has every step.

Don't pull it apart. Soak in warm soapy water and gently roll it off, or use an acetone-based remover. If glue ever gets near your eyes, rinse with water and get medical help straight away.
